PRE-HOSPITAL CARE
The pre hospital care is controlled by ambulance control room by trained ambulance control room executives, which provides 24 hours ambulance services for patients. Our ambulances are named, as “Hospital On Wheels”. Our emergency department has advanced life support vehicle (ALS) and Basic life support vehicle (BLS). Our ALS vehicle is fully equipped with emergency drugs, monitors and ventilator like our Intensive care unit, which is used for all critically ill patients. Our ALS vehicles have GPRS connected defibrillators and monitors interconnected to Emergency department where patients ECG, vitals can be directly monitored from the Emergency Room and required advice can be given by our qualified team.

Our BLS vehicles are equipped with emergency drugs, monitors which is used for transporting stable patients. The treatment of critically ill or injured patients will begin at the spot in our ambulance by our trained emergency physicians and nursing paramedics. All ambulances have mobile phone communication system, the paramedics will be in touch with the Emergency Department and the details of the patient condition are passed to the qualified Emergency team waiting in the Emergency room.

Air Ambulance Services:
Saving time is the first step and very crucial in saving lives. Air Ambulance Services are used when ground transport could endanger a patient's life. They are also indispensable when the patient is in a remote area and time is critical.

We provide Air Ambulance services for critically ill patients; air ambulance is fully equipped for any sort of emergency with a trained Emergency Physician and a paramedic for quick evacuation of critically ill patients where time is crucial.

Our hospital has a helipad with in the hospital campus so that the time can be saved during any emergencies.

12 bedded resuscitation room divided into Triage 1 and Triage 2 areas – Patients with life threatening emergencies are resuscitated and stabilized in this area by team of Emergency Physicians and concerned specialists. The resuscitation areas are fully equipped with modern monitors, portable ultrasound machines, x-ray defibrillators and ventilators.

We have a minor operation theater with 2-bedded observation area and an isolation room in the emergency department.

Education and Research:

The department of Emergency Medicine will be conducting one year course in Emergency medicine – Fellowship In Emergency medicine, the first batch will be starting from Jan – 2008, The course is affiliated to the Royal College Of General Practitioners - UK and organized by Apollo Hospitals.
Basic Life support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and ITLS will be conducted regularly and trained to the in-hospital and outside doctors and nurses.
Life Saver’s - a community involvement programme, training them in basic life support techniques during emergency and mobilizing emergency response and training in First aid.
