Dr. Bobby Chacko is senior nephrology consultant & transplant physician at Apollo hospital, Bangalore with over ten years experience in the field of nephrology. He completed his MBBS from St. Johns, Bangalore where he was recognized as the best out going student having secured the highest marks. He achieved his specialist degree (DM Nephrology) from Christian Medical College, Vellore and was awarded gold medal for DNB Nephrology. A recipient of the Rekha memorial Tanker young investigator award for his exemplary work on IgA nephropathy in India, he is a co-investigator in many multinational clinical trials. He has numerous international publications to his credit besides being reviewer for reputed journals like Kidney International and NDT. Dr. Chacko served as renal consultant at the prestigious Nephrology and Transplantation services (The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide) for three years during which period he obtained the FRACP degree. As a transplant consultant he has gained expertise in dealing with ABO incompatible and highly sensitized renal transplants.
