It is estimated that over 200,000 children are born with heart diseases every year and less than 5% of them get optimal care on time. Most of these children succumb to the disease without celebrating even their first birthday. In contrast if these children receive treatment on time they grow up to become normal adults.

Saving A Child's Heart initiative (SACHi) is one of Asia's largest voluntary organizations, dedicated to paediatric cardiac care for the underprivileged. In order to combat the escalating problem of congenital cardiac issues in children, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Group of Hospitals established the Children's Cardiac Wing in the hospitals. SACHi exists today due to his boundless vision towards removing barriers that deny any child the right to breathe freely, play, study and most importantly, live a full life. Ours is a story of positive change that has only just begun its journey. As this mission grows, it is future generations that will see more and more children growing into adults leading healthy, happy, rewarding lives !

Established in 2003, SACHi aims to provide early diagnosis, treatment, surgery, post-operative care and financial support to children from economically weak sections of society. SACHi has till date touched 50,000 lives. Our goal is that every child irrespective of community or background, is provided cutting edge treatment and operative care. Our training workshops not only enable our medical workforce, but also educate people on heart care and heart disease prevention in the most backward areas of the country.

It is a story of positive change that has only just begun its journey. As this mission grows, it is future generations that will see more and more children growing into adults leading healthy, happy, rewarding lives!
