Keratolytic (Salicylic Acid)

Keratolytic means, breaking of keratin (a tough fibrous protein that forms part of the skin structure), leading to shedding of old, wrinkled or scarred upper skin layer and revealing deeper, inner softer and lighter skin.


It means lipid/fat loving, salicylic acid is oil soluble and Lipophillic, it penetrates sebum filled follicles and cleans out clogged pores, resulting in marked improvement in acne prone skin.
